This unmissable route was created in 1992 and is still being further developed

The trails of the GTV are comprised of a principal route : the “Tour of Vercors” and also its alternatives on the High Plateaux of the Vercors : “the Traverse of the Vercors”.

Special signage is used to indicate mountain bike and horse-riding routes.

The Tour of the Vercors : (230 km) From the heart of the Dauphiné to the gates of Provence, this route will fulfil all mountain bikers and horse riders.

The Traverse of the Vercors : (88 km) From St Nizier to Die following the authorized route across the Natural Reserve of the High Plateaux of the Vercors, this itinerary is recommended for the experienced riders.

VTT/FFC Site: the mountain bike GTV is classified as one of five Great Traverses by the French Cycling Federation.

Please note : « Les Chemins du Soleil » (MTB traverse from Grenoble to Sisteron), passes through the GTV between St Nizier du Moucherotte and Die.
